Shooting Time

I finally filmed my short film called Time. This short film is dedicated to my step grandfather Gilbert "Clever" Johnson.

This film is about time and forgiveness. Its weird we live our life trying to survive and after a while it becomes a routine. You forget about the important people in your life and just focus on this goal of success. There are times when a friend or family member pops into your mind and you wonder how they are or sometimes they contact you with bad news and you wish you had made the time to visit them or spent more time with them. That's what this is about it's a story about a young man who wishes he had more time.

I'm hoping to release "TIME" early next month. I still have a couple more scenes to film.

Special thanks to my Grandmother and her husband for starring and also letting me film in there home. Thanks to Andre (Actor) and Guido (Sound Operator) for giving up there time to film to put this together.

Working with Sandro Hyams

So picture this (HA HA get it picture. . .  . . Whatever!!) I'm walking down the street near my house and I see this guy putting cases into his car. They look like film equipment cases, so I stop and ask the man are you in the filming industry but he says no he's a photographer, Sandro Hyams. So we get talking for a little but he's got to go because he's got a job to get to, but we exchange numbers and he tells me to pop over. So a few weeks later I pay him a visit and we get talking about work that we have done and projects we want to do and agree to help each other out. So the shots you see below are of Sandro in action working with the London School of Beauty, the video will be out soon.

FINALLY HERE'S THE FRECKLES PROMO

FINALLY after months and months I've finally got around to editing the video I filmed with Freckles. It was a quiet evening and we decided since we both weren't doing anything let's meet up and feel something random, it was also a chance for us to see how we worked together.

Test Shots For New Short Film

These are some stills from my new short film, working title Time. I'm going for something a little darker with highlights. Its an interesting story about a Grandfather and his grandson. More details are to come.

I haven't forgotten my other short I had some problems with the actors so I've had to re-cast but I'm hoping to get that film this month too.

Busy busy busy.

Filming at the African Festival in Covent Garden

I was working with Millennium TV and Rkive Productions at the African Festival. I was getting loads of love at the African Festival for having the Blackmagic Cinema Camera, even had a guy with a C-300 say that he wish he had one. All in all it was a good day amazing music so many beautiful women and really good vibes. This project made me this that I need to start thinking about invest in more equipment for the blackmagic. If I can I will put up some video of the day.

Audition Tape

I thought I'd share this with you guys. This is the audition tape the boys decided to send me. Now at this point I'd already given them the job so not sure why they wanted to send one.

Sound Checks

Today I met with my sound Operator Guido or G, for some weird reason I can only pronounce  his name right when I'm not thinking about it so its normally just G which is pretty gangster sounding anyway.

Feels like this project is really coming together now. Can't wait for Tuesday.

Funnest Rehearsal Ever

Another Great Rehearsal. If all goes well we should be shooting next week. Here is a video of some funny moments from last night, it's pretty choppy due to me not wanting to give away too much of the narrative, but I'm sure you'll laugh as hard as I did.

I think I may of pulled something.

Second Short Film rehearsals

Introducing Filmon and Harry, two of the biggest jokers you will ever meet but with a lot of heart and dedication. These self acclaimed wastemen proved today the complete opposite, they were times when they were telling me the lines, and I wrote the script.

I met these guys at the same burger joint/bowling alley we are filming in. They have so much great chemistry together I had to get them into a video.

This will be my second short film shot on my Blackmagic Cinema Camera.

Below are some test shots.

What am I thinking getting these two into my short film.

Rehearsing today was great. The guys brought some great ideas to add to the humour of the script.

If all goes to plan we should start shooting next week.

So wish us Luck.

We will need it.
